Active in the worlds of post-production, production, and Instruction, I have a theoretical training based in hands on experience. A B.A. in Film & Digital Media from UC Santa Cruz along with an M.A. in Radio &Television from San Francisco State University give an academic edge to 10 years experience as an editor, composer, and live audio engineer. After Instructing at SFSU (experimental video theory, ProTools, audio production), I went on to work production on film, commercial, and video shoots, while acting as a Board Op for corporate events in the SF Bay Area. After relocating to Brooklyn, NY, I have focused my efforts on editing and music with several high profile jobs in feature films and advertising.

In addition to working onsite, I can edit from my home studio where I operate Final Cut Studio 3 (FCP 7) on a brand new 2.8GHz quad-core Intel i7 iMac supported by a 2.33GHz Intel Macbook Pro with parallel monitors and KRK V6 speakers running through a MOTU Ultralite for audio monitoring.

Editing and producing the feature length documentary, Sex, Drugs and Comedy, for Comedy Central/Def Comedy Jam.

the Cannes-bound feature, In Memory of the Days to Come, directed by Jean-Christian Bourcart and starring Elodie Bouchez, for Le Bureau, France.

The web series, Perhipheral City, directed by Amanda Cole, starring Jermel Howard, for Autonomic Films.

I compose and produce music tracks for licensing, film and commercial placement. clients have included Cartoon Network, Troublemaker Films, San Francisco State University, AM pictures, Striking Pictures, Moviehead Pictures, Severin Films, several websites and a feature length film and documentary in production. Styles range from electronic to acoustic to orchestral. I have provided post services for film, television, radio, internet, and music. Clients have included: TMF Films, AM Pictures, Sisters Network, San Francisco State University, TotallyLed Ministries, Le Bureau.

These jobs have ranged from cleaning up dialog for websites to doing complete mixes for features with audio post experience in web, commercial, television, and film.
My work in audio post production and sound design is informed by 10 years experience as a board op at venues and for corporate events, with a broad skill-set in music production and video production / post production. When providing audio post services, I use Logic Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Ableton Live, and ProTools though KRK monitoring system via MOTU’s Ultralite.

As a DJ, I host a weekly event at Savalas Bar every thursday from 6-11pm. I have been hosting a weekly then monthly online radio show on wtnr radio, where I rank 7 out of 40 DJs internationally. When in the San Francisco Bay Area, I held weeklies for the 2 years at Oakland’s Water Lounge as well as the Missouri Lounge before moving to New York. I got my start promoting the innovative Sunday series, Sunday school, at the Ivy Room in 2002-3, with Bay Area heavies, (DJ) Sean Sullivan and Kool Kyle. Locally, you can find me playing roof parties in the summer and house parties in the winter…

*My unique approach to DJing uses Ableton Live software with an Akai MPD midi controller and multiple outs via Motu Ultralite. This allows me to manipulate audio well beyond the scope of a traditional DJ setup or simply plug in to an existing club setup and play a straight (funk, prog, electro, indie, mashup) set.
